Fact Check Puerto Rico will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit our Site, unless you choose to provide such information. For example, you may voluntarily provide us with your name, street address, email address or phone number. You may be given the opportunity to ask questions, request information or materials, or provide comments and suggestions.
We will only use your personally identifying information to provide you with the services you request. At any time you can opt-out of receiving information from us by contacting us at www.factcheckpuertorico.org.
Non-Personally Identifying Information
Fact Check Puerto Rico collects what is called “non-personally identifying information” because it cannot be used to uniquely identify or contact an individual. This type of information may include, but is not limited to, your IP address, browser type, device type used to access the Site, operating system, your use of features or applications on a Site and the websites linked from and pages visited.
You can disable cookies. If you do disable or opt out of receiving cookies, please be aware that some features and services on our Site may not work as intended and you may not have access to all of the services and features we may offer.
Fact Check Puerto Rico will use your non-personally identifying information to help us make the Site more accessible and useful, to improve the Site and to ensure the Site is working properly.
Privacy Rights In Certain Jurisdictions
Residents of some jurisdictions have the right to request a list of all third-parties to whom we have disclosed certain personal information during the preceding year for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If you reside in such a jurisdiction and wish to obtain such information from us, please send notice to www.factcheckpuertorico.org. In all such requests, please use the subject line “Privacy Rights” and include your name, street address, city, state, and zip code.
Residents of Foreign Countries
We are headquartered in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, be advised that any information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored in the United States and that, by submitting information to us, you explicitly authorize its transfer and storage within the United States.
We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under the age of 18. Our Site, information and services are all directed to people who are at least 18 years of age or older. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a person under the age of 18 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
